yellow plaid

Sometimes stealing your husband's shirts and belting them isn't the answer. In the spirit of honesty, it's time for me to admit: occasionally, I put together a really frugly outfit. Observe:

occasion: weekend brunching/grocery shopping/hanging out / shirt: husband's thrifted Empyre / jeans: Gap / belt: thrifted / shoes: White Mountain / necklace: gift / earrings: gift / watch: Michael Kors / bracelet: Privileged via Gilt / sunnies: Target / purse: thrifted Louis Vuitton

And then I start channeling my inner JCPenny catalogue model. I look like I got lost on my way up from a bend and snap in that third photo.

Anyway, this ensemble is just a little off - the colors and shapes of the shirt, boots, belt, and purse don't complement each other at all. A few hours after these photos were taken, I removed the belt, changed into dark grey leggings, and swapped the bag for my white leather Michael Kors. Much better. Kind of hipster chic.

Guess you'll just have to take my word for it.
