outfit: white hoodie

I went through a phase in my youth when I wore nothing but tee shirts, hoodies, and camouflage cargo pants. Yeah, I was edgy. Ever since, I've avoided hoodies for fear that they would transport me back to those terrible years of insecurities and bad decision-making. However, I do have to say that this visit to Hoodieville was very nice, indeed. And this time, it included pockets!

I feel that this outfit is a wonderful marriage of comfy and stylish. The purse is my favorite element. It's this really worn in leather Coach that I found at Goodwill along with my prized Louis Vuitton (although, if you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen that I found another LV for $2.99...how insane is that!?) It is literally the most comfortable bag I have ever carried, and I love how broken-in it looks. Even the pen marks don't worry me because they tell a story and give the bag character. The personality that well-made, much-loved items take on can really add to the je ne sais quoi of a lady's style. Just another reason that buying used can add so much more to your style than buying new. :)
