I'm not very smart under stress, so the only "safe room" I could find was the corridor outside the first level elevator. Now is probably the time to admit that I did not bring my cats with me. I was totally willing to leave them to die. Every woman for herself.
Shameful.

Now that we've gotten that little confession out of the way, I have to express my ambivalent feelings about this dress. It is one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I own. The pattern is cute (if a little swirly-funhouse); the fit is perfect. But.
But.
It shows off that particular little area of my tummy that I let myself forget about during the winter. Now, I'm not generally crazy self-conscious of my figure, but this dress - it messes with my mind. However, I think I may get the last metaphorical laugh. This spring/summer, I'm making a great effort to do two things: 1) continue in my quest to be healthier, and 2) respect and appreciate my healthy body, no matter what shape it takes. As long as I'm trying to be as healthy as I can be, I want to be happy with the way I look.
So, take that, dress. Me and my healthily squishy tummy win. Booyah.
